Diesel to LPGLPG is a versatile fuel that is ideally and widely used in many industrial applications and production processes. These include space, process and water heating, metal processing, drying, food production, petrochemical production as well as powering industrial ovens, kilns and furnaces amongst others.
Since LPG produces less amount of CO2 as compared to Diesel, National Gas promotes the industrial usage of LPG and we are expert in converting industries, which are already using Diesel, to use LPG. Millions of businesses, from large industries to restaurants to hotels, independent small professionals and contractors, rely on LPG as an energy source for numerous applications.
1 Litre of Diesel is equivalent to 0.796 KG of LPG (roughly).
In other words, to produce a specific amount of energy, around 20% less LPG would be used as compared to diesel e.g. To produce 2000 MMBtus, roughly 56000 Litres of Diesel would be used whereas roughly 44000 kg of LPG would be used to produced same energy.
Fuel Conversion Process
Taking Fuel DetailsFuel plan has to be filled with existing fuel details and requirements
Dual Fuel BurnerChecking if existing burner is duel fuel or the burner manufacturer offers dual fuel burner for Gas
Feasibility StudyPresenting a feasibility study of conversion from existing fuel to LPG both commercially and technically
Proposal submit & AgreementA detailed proposal will be submitted including price breakdown and complete technical details. Project will be commissioned within 3 to 4 months of receiving PO for the same proposal. LPG filling agreement will also be signed for a duration of 3 to 5 years.
The conversion process starts with getting the existing fuel details. The burner requirements and to check whether the existing burner is single fuel operated or dual fuel operated.
After the conversion, both the fuels can be used (separately). The LPG investment will become an asset and the LPG bulk tank and installation investment payback period is usually within 2 years.
Industries that can use LPG as a fuel
Some of the other industries include: Aerosol – Propellant, Additional Supply or Natural Gas Backup, Air Conditioning, Automotive Fuel, Cleaning, Cooling, Drying, Forklift trucks powering, Heating, Power/Electricity Generation, Refrigeration (R290), Singe and burn down, Waste management, Food Industry, Insect, Bug, Bird & Rodent Control, Steam Generation, Mining Industry, Paper Industry, Recycling & Textile Industry.
